Computational Functional Genomics

Connecting genetic evidence to patient care

Dr Alan Rubin leads Computational Functional Genomics at the Collaborative Centre for Genomic Cancer Medicine.

Alan is a leader in the Atlas of Variant Effects Alliance (a grassroots organisation with over 900 members across 57 countries).

He also sits on the ClinGen/AVE Functional Data Working Group, developing clinical practice guidelines for the use of functional evidence in variant classification.

"One of the things that is most satisfying about my work is being able to bring people together — researchers, clinicians, data scientists — around a shared mission to connect genomic evidence to patient care. That's what drives everything we do."
